Empowering Families Through the Home Education Journey

Navigating the home education landscape can feel overwhelming, but here at GLS I focus on providing high-quality, personalised support to make learning flow with ease. My aim is to build deep trust with families and tailor my teaching to suit each student's unique long-term goals. Because home-educated learners aren't bound by traditional school bells, I can therefore adapt my sessions, offering extended 90-minute daytime blocks so students have the extra time they need to transition, regulate, and learn without feeling rushed.

The support I give goes far beyond day-to-day lessons, offering families practical guidance for the future. I try to prepare each students for their next steps, like transitioning to further education colleges by offering highly accessible Functional Skills qualifications in literacy and maths. If necessary, I am able to take the administrative weight off parents by writing comprehensive progress reports for Local Authorities and connecting families with local community groups and therapists.
