Hey everyone!
What makes our GLS approach to special educational needs so incredibly effective is how deeply tailored the support is. I hope to bring a beautiful mix of pedagogical expertise and profound empathy, largely drawn from my own lived experience as an AuDHD educator and parent.
I also hope to create meaningful outcomes for my students through thoughtful, trauma-informed adaptations. I consciously extend my processing time, sometimes pausing for up to 12 seconds after giving an instruction to give students the vital space they need to think without anxiety. I keep multi-sensory tools, like phonics mirrors, right on my desk for immediate emotional regulation and learning. One of my additional services is teaming up with families to help navigate complex DLA and EHCP forms, and working directly with school SENCOs to seamlessly align my tuition with the classroom.
